Which came first? The turtle or the egg? ;-)

Yesterday I finally had a night off and I decided to watch the sunset at the beach. It was a beautiful sunset and it was nice to be alone for a while and chill! I started walking back along the the beach. After a while I took one more look back at the sunset, gorgeous, but then I saw something on the beach coming out of the water. At first I thought maybe someone drown and got washed up on the beach or maybe a dog, but i was moving real slowly, I couldn't see clearly, but I decided to walk back and check it out. With every step that I came closer, I got more excited, because it was a turtle!!! A real turtle, on the beach, on her way to the dunes and I had a pretty good idea of what she was gonna do there: make a nest and lay eggs!! Real turtle eggs!!!!!! O my god o my god! I came closer and I followed her. I texted someone who knows about turtles and stuff, he told me to keep an eye on her and when she finishes, I should mark and protect the nest with sticks. So that's what I did! I layed my towel behind a little sanddune and watched and waited. It was getting pretty dark, so I couldn't take any picture and I couldn't really see what she was doing, but I heard her digging a whole and sand was flying everywhere. It was so special to be part of that!! After a while, she started moving again. A few meter next to the nest, she started digging another hole, and after that one, she walked towards me. I didn't want to disturb her so I crawling on the beach away from her. I was smiling from ear to ear. It was just so amazing. In total she dig 5 holes and it took like 2/2,5 hours and it was pretty dark when she finally finished and walked back to the ocean. When she was out of sight I started looking for sticks and i made a fence around her last nest, because that's where she probably layed her eggs. I had so much fun and I felt blessed. This was one of those moments, you will never ever forget, it's a once in a lifetime experience and I can't wait to be there when the eggs are gonna hatch! I will sit there, every night if I have to!!! This is my miracle!!!!!!!!
